Privacy Policy

SangLimSoft ("we") operates the mobile game AI Company (Korean title: AI 주식회사, the "app") and the website aicompany.sanglimsoft.com (the "site"). This policy explains what we actually process. The Korean version is the original; if the two differ, the Korean version prevails except where your local law requires otherwise.

At a glance — The app has no sign-up or login and never asks for your name, email, phone number, location or advertising ID. Your game progress (save) stays on your device. To improve the game, the app sends usage statistics and error reports together with a random identifier to our collection server in the United States. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Usage statistics.

2. What the app sends

After you agree on the consent screen at first launch, the app sends the following to a collection server we operate. It contains no name or contact details, but records from the same device can be linked through the random identifier, so we treat it as pseudonymous personal data.

ItemDetailsPurpose
Random identifier A random value created at first launch (not a hardware ID or advertising ID) and a value created for each app session. Deleted with the app; a reinstall creates a new one. Shown in Settings › Usage statistics Linking records from one device, returning-player counts, handling deletion requests
Consent record That the consent screen was shown, the policy version you agreed to, and how long it took Proof of consent
Usage events App open/close/install/update; screen changes (names of menus and in-game app windows); first-run guide (that a model name was set and whether the guide was finished or skipped at which step — the name itself is never sent); opening Settings and changing the language; game progress events such as levels, evolutions, service launches and level tiers, training on/off and training stopped for lack of funds, acquisitions and branches, IPOs and shop purchases, end-of-season results (final level, shares earned, play time that season), story chapters, incident and challenge choices, strategy choices, skill use, automation on/off, research, regulation tiers, server-room overheating warnings, rival absorption, exit paths, season goals and challenges, weekend rewards, quests, missed inbox items and missed viral events, time away and offline results; and a per-session summary with counts in ranges (purchases, taps, deliveries, level-ups), bottleneck and public-opinion ranges, whether the data-hall view was rotated, whether chips were traded, the share of income that came from automation, and play-time ranges to reach milestones. Each record carries game context such as the current screen, season number and evolution stage Understanding how the game is played, balancing and improving features
Device and environment App version and build, OS and version, device manufacturer and model, screen size, language and time zone, network type (Wi-Fi/mobile) and carrier name, whether it is an emulator or test build Compatibility, reproducing bugs, filtering test devices
Error reports Error type, message and location when the app crashes or hits an exception. A message may include part of a value being processed at that moment Fixing bugs

We do not collect screen recordings or on-screen content, touch coordinates (the repeated-tap location feature is turned off), advertising IDs, contacts, photos, location, or the model name you type. Apart from internet access and checking network status, the app requests no device permissions.

IP addresses are not stored in the statistics database or in the collection server's access logs (since October 2, 2026; IP addresses left in earlier access logs are overwritten within days as storage limits are reached). They are held briefly in memory only for rate limiting. The network provider in front of the collection server (section 6) processes IP addresses for delivery and security.

Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); Korean Personal Information Protection Act Art. 15(1)(1)), which you can withdraw at any time as described in section 3. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.

3. Turning statistics off and finding your identifier

In the app, go to Settings (gear icon in the header) › Usage statistics › Don't send. From then on, nothing in section 2 is sent, and you can keep playing as before. The same panel shows this device's statistics identifier with a copy button — include it when asking us to access or delete records already sent (section 9). Turning statistics off does not delete records already sent. This setting ships in the first update after version 1.1.6 (October 2026); if you are on an older version, please update the app.

4. Data kept only on your device

Your save (money, data, facilities, story progress, model name, settings), consent record, statistics setting, the random identifier and not-yet-sent records stay in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot restore your save. Deleting the app or tapping Full Reset at the bottom of Settings removes it. If you use your device's own backup (iCloud Backup or Google backup), the app's data may be included and restored from there; that backup is a service between you and Apple or Google, and we cannot see it.

5. Website and support requests

The site is served by a hosting provider (section 6), which may process your IP address, browser and device details and request time for delivery and security. The site has no analytics, advertising trackers or cookies.

If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive your email address, request type, app name and message (and the statistics identifier if you include it), and use them only to answer and to handle your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). Form submissions are stored in a database in the Republic of Korea; the operator is notified with the email address, request type and the beginning of the message. Emails are stored in our mailbox. The support database is backed up daily and backups are deleted after 30 days. We keep support data for 1 year after the request is closed, or delete it earlier on request.

6. Service providers and international transfers

We do not sell or share personal data for advertising. We use the following providers to run the service.

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) while you use the app or contact us. The Republic of Korea is covered by an EU adequacy decision. For providers in the United States, the safeguards in each provider's data-processing terms apply where the provider offers them. To stop the transfer of statistics, decline on the consent screen or turn statistics off (section 3); the game remains fully playable.

7. Retention

DataRetention
Section 2 statistics and error reports2 years from collection; deleted earlier on request. Server backups may keep them for up to 30 days
Test-device and emulator filtering recordsRecords from emulators and other non-human devices are discarded on arrival. The identifier, reason (such as device model), count and first/last time are kept for 2 years to keep filtering the same device
IP addresses in collection-server access logsNot kept since October 2, 2026; earlier logs are overwritten within days
Support data1 year after the request is closed; backups 30 days

8. Children

The app does not ask for age, name or contact details. If you are below the age at which you can consent on your own (14 in Korea; 13 to 16 in the EU depending on the country), a parent or guardian should review the consent screen with you. A parent or guardian can turn statistics off in Settings or ask us to delete records as described in section 9.

9. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, receive a copy, and withdraw consent. Withdrawal and restriction are available instantly by turning statistics off (section 3). For records already sent, write to support@sanglimsoft.com with your statistics identifier from Settings › Usage statistics. Without it we cannot find your records, and we will tell you so. We respond without undue delay and within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Korea you can contact the Personal Information Protection Commission (privacy.kisa.or.kr, phone 118).

10. Security

11. Changes

When what we process changes, we update this policy first and post the change and its effective date here. If a change needs new consent, the app will show the consent screen again.

Effective September 21, 2026 · Last updated October 2, 2026 (first English version; corrected the server location to the United States, IP addresses no longer kept in access logs, the full list of collected items, and added the in-app opt-out)
